Hello Shooters,

Just finished up the US IPSC Nationals this weekend, it went off without a hitch. Great time was had by all. Hope you didn’t miss it.

MULTI GUN

This Saturday. It was brought to my attention I had the wrong date on the website listing the match as Sunday. That was a mistake….it is the Saturday as always for multigun.

Should have some cool stages as we have all the stages from US IPSC still up plus I have a cool idea for the Tac Bay.

Will be some transitioning around the range as I plan to use all of it but I’ll keep the stages fast and furious to beat the summer heat.

Steel Challenge

As you probably know we’ve been doing SC every Thursday. We will only have 3 maybe 4 stages available this Thursday due to the IPSC stages still being up and my desire to use them for this Saturday’s other matches. Next week we will be back on our normal schedule. Half price if you want to come out this week and shoot what we have.

Hello Shooters,

Wow…what a year so far. 5 major championships at USA just this year. It has been quite a toll on us, but thats what we do. Looking forward to the summer and a bit more of a ‘normal’ schedule with the local matches. As always, thank you for your support of USA. Although we do it for you….we couldn’t do it without you. Also special thanks to Duane and Andy for picking up my slack while I’ve been occupied with major matches. Lots of info in this update.

Thinking 3rd weekend in Sept. for Scattergun / PCCpalooza? Any issues with that date?

Steel Challenge – Reminder we are running the official match the first Saturday of each month. Our club affiliation came through and we will be submitting scores now. I will see about getting past month scores submitted but not sure that will work or not. Also we are running the complete match every Thursday throughout the day. Need to have at least one person with you. But usually there is a morning group that starts around 10 and another afternoon group after lunch.

The Monster Match is on for this year. Oct 27-29

International Revolver Championship is back this year. Nov 3-5

UPDATE: Squad size increased to 12. There are only 8 spots left in the match and I cannot go over 12 per squad. If you are interested in shooting please sign up quick. We will not have walk up space.

We are happy to announce the return of a Shotgun Only* match at Universal Shooting Academy. This year with a twist! We will be allowing PCC as a separately scored match shot at the same time. Hate shotgun? Come shoot PCC.

Sorry for the off week email but wanted to let folks know the results for this past weekend have posted. I was driving back from A6 on Monday and class all day today so later that I would like getting them up. Big thanks to Duane, Andy and Roy for helping out and running the match for me…… and you.

We have a newer system to post results. I’m going to continue to link them in the individual pages for each match as they are now for the time being but will probably switch to a singular match results page in the near future. It’s a cooler layout I think and all the info in a single page.

Hello Race Fans. This one is a bit of a doozy, weird I know, but we have a lot going on here this weekend.

Highlights for those that don’t reed so gud.

-No DPL this Saturday. DPL moving to 4th Saturday in conjunction with Multigun

-3Gun Nation all classifier match this Saturday the 12th.

-USPSA & Steel Challenge this Sunday the 13th

-May shoot either or both

3 GUN NATION

We will be holding a 3 Gun Nation all classifier match this Saturday the 12th. We will be holding this match the 2nd Saturday of each month on our regular schedule. As always pending major events that may cause it to cancel. We will have 5 classifier stages for score. You can learn more about 3 Gun Nation on their website and our clubs affiliation link can be found here. http://3gunnation.com/club_details?id=12197 The club series is pretty cool and you can earn National Ranking as well as slots to the National Match through the club series. If you are a 3GN member and want your scores sent in the match fee will be $40, if you are not a member and/or don’t want scores sent in, just want to shoot, match fee will be $20. Additional runs will be available based on time and number of shooters. Additional runs will be $5 per.

Normal local match this Sunday. 6 stages including classifier. We will be offering PCC Division at this match. We will be running Steel Challenge on the same day, see below. You may shoot both.

STEEL CHALLENGE

We will be holding a Steel Challenge on Sunday the 13th. Great warm up for the US Steel Nationals the following week in Volusia. We will have all 8 official stages. We have a USPSA match on the same day, you may shoot both. See below.

Match fee: $15 one gun / $25 two guns

SHOOTING BOTH??

If you’d like to shoot both USPSA and Steel Challenge we can accommodate. You will shoot USPSA first with the club. Then we will restart the Steel Challenge match around 1pm or so when USPSA is complete. Probably only time for one gun at this point on SC. Will have a discounted rate of $30 to shoot both matches. If time allows you may shoot SC again with second gun for additional $10.

PRACTICE

We will have practice available after the match on Sunday on available bays for $10.

STEEL CHALLENGE PRACTICE NEXT WEEK

We will be open Monday through Friday 1000-1700 the week of 14-18 for Steel Challenge practice. We have all 8 stages set up along with paint and 2x’s to keep us in business. You may come and practice for SC for $50 per day. You must check in with myself or Jim in the office for payment. You do not need to be a member for this opportunity. I have a SC private class on Tuesday, those practicing will need to move when and if I need a stage but there should be plenty of space to move to.

USADPL

Defensive Pistol League is moving to the 4th Saturday of the month starting this month. This will be in conjunction with our USPSA Multigun match and worked well last month. More info in the week leading up to the match.

USPSA MULTIGUN

Will be on for this month. It will be the week prior to the Area 6 Multigun Champion that starts on April First. So one might call this a “practice match” for the Area 6 Multigun Championship that begins on the 1st of April. The stages will be one million percent exactly the same as the match that starts on April 1. So come on out and get a warm up! Thats how we roll for April 1st matches!

I am looking for Staff for the Area 6 Multigun. If interested please email me. I have 6 or 7 on my list that I will be confirming tonight.

Scores are up from today for both matches. Thanks to everyone for the support, great turnout. We’ll keep DPL as scheduled for next month but had some talk today about moving it to the 4th Saturday and keeping it in conjunction with 3 gun. Some of us 3 gunners shot DPL afterwards and we had a great time. Interested in what the DPL’ers would think about moving to the 4th Saturday. Let me know.

Local 3 Gun will be off for next month due to 3GN coming in but I’ll update here and the email list.
