RULES UPDATE: So after hearing from everyone here is my decision on the rules questions. We are going to continue to run under USPSA Multigun rules. The support for Time Plus Points scoring was overwhelming vs. straight Time Plus. I was surprised actually. Though I prefer points, I thought the masses would prefer straight Time. That wasn’t the case. I researched the 3GN rules and it did not appear there is a provision for a points based scoring. I researched the USPSA Multigun rulebook and there is a provision for designating optional target engagement.
We will continue to value each stage at 100 points as we always have. The main difference to you the shooter will be paying attention to the written stage briefings. They will be longer, more involved, and may be perceived as more complicated at first but I think you’ll get the hang of it. Example: The majority of stages will have the option of engaging steel with Birdshot or Pistol, Paper targets with Slug, Pistol, OR Rifle. We will also continue to have some stages where target engagement with a specific weapon will be mandatory. So you’ll have to read and pay attention to the walkthrough. Options will be the norm but specifics will still exist.
We normally advertise 100 rifle, 100 pistol, 50 bird, 5 Slug. That optionally will still hold true but now the round counts could drastically change based on how you choose to shoot the stage. You could shoot all pistol for example on stage that could also be Shotgun, Rifle. So basically bring much more ammo and you’ll have some to take home.
I think this month has a good mix to give you a feel of what I’m thinking flavor wise. So, as always, let me know what you think of this months match.

SCATTERGUN CHALLENGE
August 27
We are bringing back the Scattergun Challenge next month on our regularly scheduled 3 gun day so we will not have 3 gun next month. This will be shotgun only.
8 Stages, fee will be $45, embedded RO’s, Trophy match
Registration will open on Match Sign Up August 1. We will be limited to 100 shooters which shouldn’t be a problem but don’t delay once registration opens.
IPSC NATIONALS
US IPSC Nationals is open for registration. I’m late on getting staff emails out, plan to get that done next week. If you are interested in working as staff, send me an email.
