Those round counts are estimates. We will be continuing with our optional targets so you could shoot more or less of a particular gun as you choose. We also just got a MagnetoSpeed T1000 (thanks TMANator) target hit indicator I want to try out so expect at least one longer range shot than normal.
50 rounds will do ya. I have some cool ideas I’m working on. Not sure they will all be ready for Saturday but expect some new stuff coming soon.
Florida Explorers Match
We have the Sheriffs Explorers coming out Saturday for a competition. If you aren’t familiar with them they are young folks interested in joining law enforcement. I have set up a Steel Challenge type competition for them this Saturday starting at 1pm. It will be simple 4 courses of fire. We are seeking 3-5 people willing to work as Safety Officers for the match. You don’t need to be a certified RO, just familiar with safety procedures during a match. It will be steel challenge, so no movement. Just stand, run the timer, and watch for safety issues. If you are interested please send me an email. Please don’t reply to this one. Thanks!!
IF YOU NEED TO REACH ME PLEASE SEND A NEW EMAIL. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS ONE. THX.
Lots going on gang, hope all is well. Man this year is flying by.
This Sunday. 6 stages including a classifier. Some FL Open similar stages and some from 3Gun Nation. 5 large field courses and a piddly little classifier.
This will be a SLOT Match for the Central Florida Section. If you don’t know what that means then it doesn’t apply to you, just a normal match, come on out!
I’ll will be working, teaching that day. Duane and Andy will be running the match for me. Thanks guys!

This Saturday Steel Challenge will be a practice day with 4-5 stages available as we are prepping for the FL Open. No Steel Challenge next Thursday or the 22nd due to the Open and 3GN.
USPSA will be CANCELED this month on the 11th. I apologize for this but the Open is consuming my time and the range to prepare. This was scheduled to be our SLOT match, we will have our March match as the SLOT match.
POLICY CHANGE ON ATV’S, UTV’S, GOLF CARTS, ETC.
Our insurance company has decided they are now going to require individuals to have insurance on their ATV, UTV, Golf Cart, etc which names USA as additional insured. We will be enforcing this as of March 1, 2018. You will need to show Frank or Jim the policy listing USA. I apologize for this inconvenience but it’s outside my sphere of influence. If you have any questions on what exactly is required please contact Frank, he is familiar with the process. FrankGarciaUSA@Yahoo.com
Area 6 Multigun
Is open for registration. I am currently recruiting staff for this match. Please contact me in a separate email if you are interested in working as staff.
Multigun and DPL
Canceled for this month. We will have 3 Gun Nation SE Regional Match on site.
This Sunday. 6 stages including a classifier. Weather is not looking great but the match will go on. Hopefully the rain will be later in the day if it comes.
NO Multigun or DPL this month due to Monster Match.
Speaking of that, Monster is still open for registration. Gonna be a fun match, you should sign up if you’re not already. Just finalized the stages, they will post today or tonight. 8 stages 400 rounds.
Florida State Championship 2018 just opened for registration also on Match Sign Up or our website.
Florida Open is open as well. 20th anniversary. We have some cool stuff planned, don’t miss it.
I updated the calendar on our website through mid February. It’s usually pretty accurate as to whats going on out here.
Remember if you need to email me please do so in a separate email. DO NOT REPLY to this email.
Thanks for your continued support, hope you’re having a great week.
I feel almost back to normal. As I mentioned I was out of the country for 21 days with very poor to zero internet connection. Then back into a hurricane and no power for almost a week. All resources are restored now and I spent yesterday and so far today trying to catch up on match stuff and emails. I’ve cleared about a week back and will be continuing the rest of this week to catch up.
If you requested a refund due to storm issues for Scattergun or PCCpalooza I think I have completed all those as of now. A few asked for application to future matches. If you requested a refund and did not receive it please email me (on a new email, not a reply to this one) and let me know. I either may have missed it or haven’t gotten that far back yet.
USPSA Multigun is on for this Saturday. We have all the Scattergun and PCC stages still up so I will be able to jump off them and make some good stuff I think. I know some want a re-run of the buckshot stage from Scattergun so if you have 8-10 Buck, bring them. But there will be a bird/slug option to avoid Buck if you don’t have it. 9 pellet max on the buck if used. Otherwise the normal 100 rifle, 100 pistol, 50 bird, and 5 slug will get you through.
Defensive Pistol League
We are on for this Saturday. Normal 5 stages, 50 rounds.
Is back on for tomorrow for our Thursday matches. Will be on Oct. 7 for our sanctioned match. I didn’t upload this months match yet. No great excuse other than I’ve been gone and then no power. I’ll get it up tomorrow. I apologize for slacking on this. I’ll do better and set up a better system to get it done in a timely manner for the future.
October: USPSA ON, Multigun and DPL OFF (due to Monster Match)
November: TBD. I’ll be out of town for both weekends will check with my back up crew.
The Monster Match
Most fun match of the year. Registration is open. http://www.matchsignup.org/match/default.php?matchid=1139
International Revolver Championship. If you like wheel guns you can’t miss this match. The best of the best will be there.
We hope everyone is prepared for the storm and wish the best for all affected.
USPSA is canceled for tomorrow…probably needless to say.
As of now PCCpalooza and Scattergun are still on. I’ll get out to the range Monday or Tuesday and survey any damage. But based on the forecast I think we’ll be good to go. If anyone needs to cancel due to storm clean up or anything that will not be a problem. I’d just ask you let me know asap.
I had some stages drawn up but we took everything down on the range to save what we can. So I’ll start from scratch on the stages asap this week. Probably won’t have time to post them.
I’ll be back in touch next week after the storm. Good luck to all!
This Sunday!! Expect some technical, tough stages this month as I’m prepping myself for the World Shoot and you get to suffer with me. We will have 6 stages, some from the IPSC Nationals, some new, and a USPSA Classifier.
Scattergun / PCCpalooza
Sept 16 (Scattergun), Sept 17 (PCCpalooza)

MultiGun / DPL
Will be on for this month. I will be out of town at the World Shoot but Duane, Andy and Roy will be taking the helm for me.
Special Operations Warrior Foundation – Ranger Scholarship Fund Raffle
We have a lightly used S&W M&P 15 donated by a club member we will be raffling off during The Monster Match in Oct. Gun is on display at the range. If you have a spare buck….or 50, 100% of the money is going directly to the charities and these guys have super low overhead. It will directly support the families of our fallen veterans.
